In order to further enhance the professional skills and safety awareness of hazardous transportation practitioners, and to build a platform for showcasing skills and exchanging experiences in the industry, the 2024 "Guangzhou Hino Cup" Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Hazardous Transport Practitioners Skills Competition, jointly organized by Guangzhou Transportation Bureau and Guangzhou Hino and Guangzhou Dangerous Goods Transport Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Dangerous Goods Association"), was successfully held in Guangzhou on October 28th. Director Wang Qinggao of Guangzhou Transportation Bureau, Secretary Xia Qiang of Guangzhou Hino Party Committee, and President Fan Xianwu of Guangzhou Dangerous Goods Association attended the event and delivered speeches.
This competition will be conducted through on-site practical operations, including four major competition segments: pile dumping and warehouse relocation, snake shaped pile winding, emergency response, and pre departure inspection. 18 teams from various hazardous transportation enterprises in Guangzhou will compete on the same stage and engage in intense competition. The participants from each representative team were well prepared, calm, and composed, strictly adhering to the competition rules and field discipline. They fully demonstrated the excellent professional quality of Guangzhou's hazardous transportation practitioners and the sincere cooperation between teams, presenting a series of exciting skill duels for the on-site audience.
The safety guarantee of the hazardous transportation industry cannot be achieved without excellent and professional drivers, and equally cannot be achieved without safe and reliable transportation vehicles. In the competition and test drive segment, participants respectively tasted the Guangzhou Hino 700 Intelligent Luxury Edition, Shengshi Edition, and 4 × 2 New Energy Van, experiencing the excellent performance of Guangzhou Hino products in reliability, handling, and safety up close. In the end, after a day of intense competition, the Hongpeng Second Team from Guangzhou Hongpeng Petroleum Co., Ltd. won the championship of this skills competition with excellent performance. The second prize was won by Guangshi Logistics, Hongpeng First Team, Qitu Supply Chain, and Jiangli Transportation respectively. The third prize was won by five teams including Huakai Transportation, Ausheng Logistics, PetroChina Logistics, Yi'an Logistics, and Guanggang Gas. Cao Yangyang from Guangzhou Dangerous Goods Association was awarded the title of Best Judge in this competition. Warm congratulations to the above contestants for their excellent performance!
